7th Girls Falls, 8th Wins NE8MS Title Against Indian Springs

The 7th grade girls’ Norwell Knights faced a tough loss against the Indian Springs Eagles in the NE8MS championship, falling 40-14 in a hard-fought matchup. Despite strong efforts from several players, the Knights struggled to keep pace with the Eagles’ offense throughout the game. Paizley Price led the way for Norwell, contributing 7 points. Camryn McCartney added 3 points, while Piper Krumma and Mercy Meyer each scored 2 points. While the Knights battled through the game, Indian Springs proved to be too much, dominating both ends of the floor. The 7th grade finished with a record of 17-3. The 8th grade girls’ Norwell Knights pulled off a thrilling 27-26 overtime victory over the Indian Springs Eagles in an exciting game that kept fans on the edge of their seats. The Knights displayed impressive resilience and teamwork as they battled through a close contest that extended into overtime to capture the NE8MS Conference Championship. Ally Graft was the standout performer for Norwell, leading the team with 13 points. Avery Thornton added 6 points, while Kynnlei Beste, Rilynn Hoopingarner, Hadley Meyer, and Elizabeth Mann all contributed 2 points each. The balanced scoring attack and strong defensive effort in overtime sealed the victory for the Knights, who were able to edge out the Eagles by just one point. The 8th grade finishes their championship season with a 15-5 record.
