In a thrilling showdown, the Norwell Knights secured the NE8MS 7th Grade Football championship with a strong 13-0 victory over the Riverview Raiders. The game showcased Norwell's strong defense and key late-down conversions. The Knights struck early when Cooper Figert electrified the crowd with a stunning 64-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, putting Norwell ahead 6-0. Despite several attempts by the Raiders to respond, Norwell's defense held firm, keeping the score unchanged for the remainder of the game. As the clock wound down to under seven minutes, Norwell quarterback Jace Reinhard extended the lead with a skillful 21-yard touchdown run, sealing the game at 13-0. The Knights' victory marked a triumphant end to a successful 8-1 season, with their teamwork and determination shining brightly throughout the championship match.
