Norwell Middle School

The 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams competed in the first annual Norwell Invitational this morning and afternoon. In the 7th grade matches, Norwell finished 1-1 in group play by defeating Heritage and falling to Blackhawk Christian. They traveled over to the high school gym for the 3rd place match versus St. Joseph (Decatur), where they fell in two sets to the Commodores. It was a mirror image in the 8th grade invitational. Norwell took down Heritage and then fell to Blackhawk Christian in group games. They also were defeated by St. Joseph in the 3rd place game. The Yorktown Tigers were this year's champions in both 7th and 8th grade. Norwell will now travel to Leo on Monday, September 16th for a 5:00pm 7th grade match.
