The Norwell Knights continued their strong start to the volleyball season on Wednesday evening, sweeping the New Haven Bulldogs in both 7th and 8th grade action. The 7th grade Knights (6-0, 2-0 in NE8MS) controlled the match from start to finish, earning a straight-set victory by scores of 25-12 and 25-5. Norwell's strong serving and consistent play helped the Knights pull away in both sets. The 8th grade Knights (4-2, 2-0 in NE8MS) faced a tougher challenge from a pesky New Haven squad but remained composed to secure a two-set victory, 25-17 and 25-21. Both Norwell teams will return to action on Saturday, September 12, for the Norwell Invitational. The 7th grade tournament begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by the 8th grade tournament at 1:00 p.m.
