The Norwell Knights had a strong night on the volleyball court Tuesday, sweeping the DeKalb Barons in both the 7th and 8th grade matches. The 7th grade Knights improved to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in NE8MS play with a straight-set victory, 25-9, 25-23. After dominating the opening set, Norwell faced a much tougher challenge in the second. The Knights saved their best for the end, closing the set on a 7-0 run to secure the sweep. The 8th grade Knights also earned a straight-set victory, improving to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in NE8MS play. Norwell controlled both sets against the Barons, winning 25-19 and 25-13. Both teams will return to action Wednesday, September 9, at 5:00 p.m., when the Knights host New Haven in another NE8MS matchup.
