The Norwell Knights’ 7th and 8th grade football teams both came away with victories Tuesday night, defeating the Bluffton Tigers on the road. The 8th grade Knights earned a hard-fought 8-0 shutout victory. Nico Edwards scored Norwell’s lone touchdown, while Myles Borne added the extra point to give the Knights the victory. The 7th grade team also turned in a strong defensive performance, shutting out Bluffton 25-0. The Knights found the end zone four times, with touchdowns coming from Elias Norris, Reed Ballard, Reece Hoopingarner and Landon Gerz. With both teams opening the season with road victories, the Knights will return home on Tuesday, September 1, when they host the DeKalb Barons in a doubleheader. The 7th grade game is scheduled to kick off at 5:30 p.m.
