Norwell Boys Swim Past Jay County & Oak Farm, Girls Split

The Norwell boys swim and dive team earned a pair of victories Tuesday night, defeating Jay County 97-44 and Oak Farm 86-52 in a strong home performance. The Norwell girls split their meet, dominating Oak Farm 110-58 before falling to Jay County 101-74. The boys were led by several first-place finishes across the pool and diving well. In diving, Findley Oakleaf claimed the top spot with a score of 77.95. Norwell’s 200-yard medley relay team of Korbin Fritts, Elias Nussbaum, Bryce Grant, and Canyon Aschliman opened the meet with a win in 2:24.75. Bryce Grant had a standout night, capturing first in the 100-yard IM (1:20.70) and the 400-yard freestyle (5:21.10), while also swimming on the victorious 300-yard freestyle relay team alongside Kai Davis, Elias Nussbaum, and Korbin Fritts (3:42.17). Nussbaum added individual wins in the 50-yard butterfly (32.22) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:22.49). On the girls side, Dara Nusbaumer placed first in the 400-yard freestyle with a time of 5:19.67. Khloe Bertsch won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:20.21, and Naomi Falk touched first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:25.22. Both the Norwell boys and girls teams will be back in action tomorrow as they travel to East Noble for a 5:30 p.m. meet.
