7th & 8th Boys Basketball Rout Harding

The 7th grade Norwell Knights turned in a dominant performance as they rolled past the Harding Hawks, 45–10. Norwell set the tone early, jumping out to a 15–3 lead after the first quarter and extending the advantage to 27–6 at halftime. The Knights continued to control the game defensively and offensively, leading 39–8 after three quarters before closing out the convincing win. The Knights received balanced scoring throughout the lineup. Barrett Dafforn led the way with 10 points, while Jensen Oakleaf added 8 points. Connor Karst, Max Norris, Teagyn Gehring, and Zeke Sliger each contributed 5 points. Eli Cassel chipped in 3 points, and Jensen Hale and Talon Wireman added 2 points apiece to round out Norwell’s impressive team effort. The 8th grade Norwell Knights put together a dominant all-around performance as they defeated the Harding Hawks, 55–11. Norwell set the pace early with a 17–5 lead after the first quarter and continued to apply pressure on both ends of the floor, taking a 29–8 advantage into halftime. The Knights’ defense remained strong in the second half, extending the lead to 43–9 after three quarters before closing out the convincing win. Blake Fuess led Norwell in scoring with 13 points, while Paxton Frisch added 6 points. Gabe Gerber and Nolan Hitzfield each contributed 5 points, and Weston Harris, Oakley Bryant, Oakly Moser, Reece Goeglein, and Jace Reinhard all chipped in 4 points apiece. Clark Evans, Wesley Dafforn, and Carter Culbreath rounded out the scoring with 2 points each in the balanced team effort. The Knights begin NE8MS tournament play on Tuesday, January 20th when they host Riverview at 5:30pm.
