7th & 8th Boys Basketball Downed by Woodside

The Norwell Knights 7th grade boys basketball team battled hard on Tuesday night but came up short in a 51-40 loss to the Woodside Warriors. Woodside jumped out to a 12-8 lead after the first quarter and extended their advantage to 29-14 by halftime. Norwell found some rhythm in the second half, but the Warriors held strong in the final frame to secure the win. Cohen Kober scored 2 points for the Knights, while Max Norris added 9. Ripken Bailey led Norwell with 10 points, and Talon Wireman contributed 4. Teagyn Gehring scored 2 points, Eli Cassel added 6, and Barrett Dafforn finished with 7 points. The Norwell Knights 8th grade boys basketball team put together a strong defensive effort but ultimately fell to the Woodside Warriors, 41-29, on Tuesday evening. Woodside controlled the early momentum, taking a 12-5 lead after the first quarter and extending the advantage to 23-13 by halftime. The Knights battled back in the third quarter, trimming the deficit to 30-23, but the Warriors held off Norwell’s comeback attempt in the final period. Norwell was led by Blake Fuess and Weston Harris, who each scored 8 points. Wes Dafforn added 7 points, Jace Reinhard chipped in 4, and Oakley Bryant scored 2 points for the Knights. Norwell will return to action on Monday, December 15th when they host Indian Springs for a 5:00pm game.
