7th & 8th Girls Tame Crestview

The Norwell Knights 7th grade girls basketball team edged out the Crestview Cougars in a thrilling 30-28 victory on Wednesday night. The Knights battled from behind for much of the game, trailing 9-12 after the first quarter, 11-14 at halftime, and 15-20 heading into the final period. Norwell’s offense came alive in the fourth quarter, outscoring Crestview 15-8 to complete the comeback and secure the win. Elissa Rosswurm led the Knights with an impressive 14 points. Lily Gerdom added 9 points, while Lucy McBride contributed 5 points. Ella Ford rounded out the scoring with 2 points. The Norwell Knights 8th grade girls basketball team earned a tough 28-26 victory over the Crestview Cougars on Tuesday night. The matchup was close from start to finish, with Norwell holding narrow leads at every quarter break. The Knights were up 10-9 after the first, 18-17 at halftime, and 22-21 after three quarters before closing out the two-point win. Camryn McCartney powered the Knights’ offense with an impressive 18-point performance. Paizley Price and Rylie Van’t Hof each added 3 points, while Mercy Meyer and Piper Krumma contributed 2 points apiece. The Knights return to action on Thursday, December 11th, when they travel to Woodside for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.
