Girls Basketball Splits with East Noble

The Norwell Knights 7th grade girls basketball team earned a strong 37–21 victory over the East Noble Knights on Tuesday night. Norwell set the tone early with a dominant 10–0 first quarter and carried a 14–4 lead into halftime. The Knights broke the game open in the third quarter, outscoring East Noble 17–8 before closing out the win. Elissa Rosswurm led Norwell with 9 points, while Ella Ford added 10. Emmalee Scott and Val Lenwell each scored 2 points, Lucy McBride contributed 4, and Lily Gerdom provided a solid 8-point performance. Ruthie Bushee rounded out the scoring with 2 points. The Norwell Knights 8th grade girls basketball team came up short on Tuesday night, falling to the East Noble Knights 30–23. Norwell opened the game with an 8–5 lead after the first quarter, but East Noble responded with an 11–4 second quarter to take control heading into halftime. The teams played even in the third quarter, and Norwell continued to battle, but East Noble held on in the fourth to secure the win. Camryn McCartney led Norwell with 8 points, while Mercy Meyer added 7. Rylie Van’t Hof scored 3 points, Paizley Price chipped in 3, and Jahnna Smith added 2 points. The Knights will look to bounce back on Thursday, December 4th, when they host Bluffton at 5:00 p.m.
